as a young boy i saw something hollow in my life but i didn't know what it was but still i wanted to fill it so many people trying to hold me back try to make me do something i really don't want to do and there's just one question one question i have to ask who do we trust no one is out there look who's been hurt you've got no feelings lives will be lost in false believing you destroyed your life don't try to destroy mine for the longest time there's been something inside i gotta get out feeling so strong thoughts emotions i can feel the pressure but where's the pleasure rape my own mind of my own thoughts i lost the feeling you gave there's no believing you lied you were never giving just taking ther's really no believing you lied
This is in my top 5 hardcore releases. I was lucky enough to see their last show at Goleta Fest in 1996.
I have the CD, and all their vinyl, and am happy to support it here! Thanks, Council, for putting your releases on bandcamp. RyanTG
Beautiful package, heavy stock. It's obvious Council loves what they do. If you like Broken Hearts Are Blue, get this. The purplish vinyl is gorgeous and heavyweight. paul pearson
Toronto band Respire deliver a post-hardcore tour de force on the largest scale possible, orchestrally rich and incessantly uncompromising. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 6, 2021
This only a demo, so the songs are still rough, but the ideas at their heart are really good, and just a little bit more polish would have been necessary. This emo band offers a really neat duo of singers, who don't just juxtapose their voices but sometimes confront them. I'd recommend a listen, and then take some time to imagine what could have been.
